CAUSE: The rear panel of the main body is not blocking the Rear Cover PC (PC23).
SOLUTION: Install the rear panel and confirm copy quality. If no results, access the service mode and select State Confirm, then Switch 3, and the Rear
Cover sensor state should be ON in a normal condition. If the state of Rear Cover is OFF, inspect and repair the actuator, or replace PC23 (p/n 11UM85010)
as necessary.

REMOVE ORIGINAL FROM PLATEN message will not clear after ADF jam is cleared. Unit power has to be cycled OFF/ON to clear the message.
Solution
CAUSE: The original cover angle detection sensor (PC2) is not positioned properly. Actuation of PC2 does not occur.
SOLUTION: To adjust the positioning of PC2, perform the following:
1. Open the DF724 to the full upright position.
2. Locate the PC2 set screw (opening in the upper cover on the main body immediately to the left of the right DF724 hinge).
3. Adjust the set screw and verify operation. It is recommended to tighten the set screw 1/2 turn to begin adjustment.
