Description
How to change the developer.
Solution
To change the developer, perform the following:
1. Turn OFF the power switch.
2. Open the front door.
3. Remove the developing unit cover (3 screws) and developing unit mount screws (2 screws).
4. Pull out the developing unit and install the Jumper Harness (p/n 11UM00440 or 11ZT00440).
Note: Both connectors must be installed on the rear side of the developing unit.
5. Press Stop-0-Stop-2.
6. Install the front door Interlock Switch Actuating Jig (p/n 25TU00350).
7. Assemble the Developer Collecting Bag (p/n 25TU00330) and use two clips to attach it to the developing unit.
8. Select [Developer Change].
9. Remove the ATDC sensors from the developing unit or units to be discharged.
10. Install the Mag. Roller Shields (p/n 25TU00470) on all four developer units.
11. Pull the bag up over the front of the developing unit and attach it with two more clips.
12. Select ON for the developers to be discharged.
13 Press the Start key. Developer discharge takes about 5 minutes to complete.
14. Select [Ex.] when developer discharge has completed.
15. Remove the Developer Collecting Bag.
16. Reinstall the ATDC sensors.
17. Remove the supply port for the developing units or units which need to be supplied with developer and install the Developer Chutes (p/n 25TU00460).
18. Select the developer to be supplied and press the Start key.
19. Slowly pour the developer into the correct Developer Chute.
20. Press the Stop key after all of the developer has been added and repeat the process for each developer.
21. Select [Ex.] after all of the developers have been supplied.
22. Select [ON] for all of the developers that were supplied.
23. Press the Start key to agitate the developers. The developing units will stop rotating automatically when the agitation is complete.
24. Select [Ex.].
25. Power the machine OFF/ON.
