Description
Poor copy quality with the PRT Highlights not varying from -10 when the gradation adjustment is performed.
Solution
CAUSE: The print head (laser write unit) is dirty or has failed.
SOLUTION: Clean the print head including the mirror unit mounted below the print head. Use care not to touch the glass when the mirror unit is reinstalled.
If cleaning does not resolve the problem, replace the print head (p/n 11UM-9540).
Note: The print head comes with the print head control board (PWB-JD) and the mirror assembly. All three must be replaced as a matched set.

CAUSE: The copier is not level causing the developer to build up in the units, either at the front or the rear of the machine.

CAUSE: The incorrect date and time has been programmed.
SOLUTION: To input the correct date and time, perform the following:
1. With the machine displaying the failure code, press STOP, 1, 1, 4, 4, C (clear).
2. The Date/Time input mode will now be displayed.
3. Enter the Year, Month, Date, Hour and Minute in that order using the 10 key pad.
4. Press OK.
5. Press EX.
6. Open and close the front door to reset the failure code.
Note: When entering the month, day, hour or minute; enter a 0 first if the data is a single digit.
