CAUSE: This code is a communication abnormality with the counterfit detection circuit on PWB-C.
SOLUTION: Turn the machine off and unplug it. Reseat all connectors on PWB-C and the Gold box on PWB-C. Plug the machine in and turn it on.

Solution Usage
Description
Fiery* X2e, how to install system software on a Fiery X2e controller.
Solution
The system software for the Fiery X2e comes on a CD. To install the software, a laptop (or PC) and Parallel cable are required. The parallel cable comes with
the controller. To install the system software, perform the following:
1. Set the parallel port on the laptop to ECP mode.
2. Copy the 90MB .uxe file from the CD to a temporary directory on the Laptop's Hard Drive.
3. Boot the laptop to a command prompt.
4. When the laptop is booting, press F8 to enter the safe mode menu.
5. Press Shift F5 to get to a command prompt.
6. Ensure the parallel cable is plugged into the X2e and the X2e is set to receive the system software.
7. Change directories on the Laptop to the directory the .uxe file was copied into.
8. Type copy /b filename.uxe lpt1 and wait for the installation to complete.
9. The installation time varies depending on the parallel port speed of the laptop.
Note: The Fiery X2e System Software CD is available as part number 45001600.

Description
There is a tray that cannot be selected from the paper selection screen. A tool symbol is displayed on lower left of the touch panel. When touching the [[tool
mark| IMAGE V:\bitmaps\cjc182.bmp SCROLL]], [[a message will be displayed in the LCD| IMAGE V:\bitmaps\cjc183.bmp SCROLL]] indicating that one of
the paper trays is not available.
Solution
CAUSE: Lift up failure of a paper tray.
SOLUTION: Repair the paper tray as needed. After repair is completed, please clear the tool mark symbol by performing the following:
1. Power ON the machine.
2. Touch the tool mark to display the message.
3. Open/close the front cover.
4. When the tray has been repaired, the tray name should disappear from the displayed message. Ensure that the tray name disappeared, and then touch
OK.
5. Confirm that the tool mark disappeared.
