Blacks appear brownish when printing a scanned logo imbedded in a Microsoft* Word document with photo selected in the driver. There are also photos
imbedded in this document.
Solution
CAUSE: Scanned logo prints using processed black due to the resolution of the of original scan and the selection of photo mode within the print driver.
SOLUTION: Rescan the logo at a higher resolution and adjust the 'black' pixels using a graphics application such as Paint Shop Pro* or Adobe* Photoshop*.
Reinsert the logo in the Word document.

Description
C0501 during warm-up after reinstalling the fuser unit.
Solution
CAUSE: The fuser was reinstalled and the three connectors on the rear side of the fuser unit were not connected.
SOLUTION: Ensure that the connectors for the fuser are connected. To clear the failure code, perform the following:
1. Remove the access panel from the left underside of the operations panel (one screw).
2. Press and hold S24 (the short switch) while powering the machine ON.
3. Release S24, reinstall the access panel, and close the front door.

Solution
CAUSE: The lamp does not come on due to a loss of 24V DC to PU2, the DCPS2.
SOLUTION: Check for 24V DC at PU2 CN3-1. If there is no 24V DC at PU2, check for 24V DC at PJ15-5 on PWB-C, the IR control board. A loose pin at
either connector will cause the C3310 code.
Note: The failure code must be cleared for the 24V DC to be present.
To clear the code, perform the following:
1. Remove the access panel from the left underside of the operations panel.
2. Press S24.
3. Release S24 and close the front door.
