ADDENDUM TO PRINTING

This chapter describes additions and corrections to Printing.

The following features and print options are not supported for the Fiery Color Server:

• PrintMe cloud printing

• Color text blur prevention option (Job Properties Image tab)

• Pad printing print options (Job Properties Finishing tab)

• Staple pitch print option (Job Properties Finishing tab)

• Ring bind print option (Job Properties Finishing tab)

Print options

The following table describes the print options for the Fiery Color Server compared to the

print options in Printing.

Option Information

Image tab: Image halftone

Specify if you want to switch between line or dot screens for the image.

If Stochastic is selected, set the Text thinning/Reversed text enhancement option to OFF and the

Resolution option to 600dpi.

If Resolution is set for 1200dpi, specify the same setting for this option and the Text and graphics

halftone screen option.

In order to use these line screen options, they must be installed. For information about installable

options, see printer driver Help.

Image tab: Text and graphics

Specify if you want to switch between line or dot screens for text and graphics.

If Resolution is set for 1200dpi, specify Same as image for this option.

Image tab: Use maximum

printer density

This option is designed to create solid, saturated colors. It is typically used to print text and graphics, not

photographic images.

Select to print 100% C, M, Y (or R, G, B) at the maximum density that the printer is capable of

printing, regardless of calibration. C, M, Y (or R, G, B) values less than 100% still print at the calibrated

density value.

For best results printing CMYK color, set CMYK/Grayscale Source to Bypass Conversion. For best

results printing RGB color, make sure the Use Embedded Profile When Present (RGB) option is

selected.
