ADDENDUM TO COLOR PRINTING

This chapter describes additions and corrections to Color Printing.

Printer calibration with Fiery Color Server calibration

When you calibrate the Fiery Color Server using Calibrator in Command WorkStation, by

default Calibrator calibrates the printer before printing the measurement page. We

recommend that you calibrate the printer before calibrating the Fiery Color Server.

NOTE: When you calibrate the Fiery Color Server using ColorCal in Calibrator and you

choose to calibrate the scanner first, the printer is not calibrated before it prints the scanner

measurement page, but only before it prints the ColorCal measurement page.

If the printer has been calibrated recently, you might choose to disable printer calibration

before calibrating the Fiery Color Server.

TO DISABLE PRINTER CALIBRATION

1 In Command WorkStation Device Center, click the General tab, click the Tools tab, and then

click Preferences under Calibrate.

2 In Preferences, clear the check box next to Force Printer Auto Calibration and click Save.

When you calibrate the Fiery Color Server using Command WorkStation Calibrator, the

measurement page is printed without any delay for calibrating the printer.
